This website is a space to keep track of things related to my hobbies, interests and activities without the feeling of surveillance you get on most other social media platforms.
I decided to make it because I ended up with a job that involves a lot of downtime sitting alone at a computer, and it's boring (good).
The appearance and navigation is inspired by Robert Fludd's 'memory theatre' mnemonic device, from which I have also taken the images used for the homepage and foyer! I want to basically make a spatialized journal that I can move around in, that also happens to be shaped like a dreamscape-theatre.
Fludd was an all-timer Early Modern Weirdo, my least favourite of several who have inspired the other pages on this website. If you want to read more about memory theatres I recommend the chapter in Frances Yates 'The Art of Memory'.
I spend a lot of time lurking around backstage, for work and for fun, and I did an MA on Early Modern Drama; I want this site to feel like one of my stress-dreams during that year. This is an anti- dark academia page. It's an anti-academia page actually. I hope you enjoy being subjected to it.
Cool sites that inspired me more than the late Rob Fludd:
